Our Little Farm

Inspired by conversations surrounding sustainable agriculture and local food systems, Our Little Farm explores the daily life and philosophy behind Jacob Springs Farm, a small regenerative meat and dairy farm outside Boulder, Colorado.

Through observational filmmaking and interviews with owner Andre Houssney, the documentary examines the realities of small-scale farming, from the physical demands of caring for livestock to the challenges of maintaining an independent farm in an increasingly industrialized food economy. Andre's story — shaped by his family's agricultural roots in Lebanon and his commitment to regenerative practices — offers a personal perspective on stewardship, resilience, and community.

Filmed over the course of a semester, the project reflects the trust built between filmmaker and subject and highlights the importance of understanding where our food comes from and the people who produce it.
